Amerisips are Strong
- Can be engineered to withstand winds from 120-200 mph
- Meets local building code requirements
- Most Amerisips homes do not require roof
trusses, resulting in increased living space
Structural Insulated Panels consist of two sheets of Oriented Strand Board (OSB) pressure laminated to an inner core of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS). SIPs panels act in synergy to form a material that is stronger than the individual materials. Structurally, SIPs panels act like an I-beam.
Amerisips panels are manufactured in varying thicknesses, from 6” to 12”—the thicker the panel, the stronger. As a result, SIPs structures can be engineered to withstand winds up to 200 miles per hour—ideal for coastal area
