Green building is the practice of creating structures and utilizing processes that are environmentally responsible and resource efficient throughout a building’s life cycle. Buildings represent 39% of the United State’s primary energy use and the EPA estimates that 136 million tons of building-related construction and demolition debris was generated in the U.S. in a single year.
